Artemis Sponsors the Zoo’s Annual Fundraiser
Melbourne, FL, Feb. 14, 2014 – Artemis, the Space Coast’s leading IT Services provider, will be the Title Sponsor of Brevard Zoo’s annual gala, Safari under the Stars. The fundraising event takes place on Saturday, April 26, 2014.
Artemis’s partner company, ndtHOST was the Title Sponsor of last year’s event, the Zoo’s largest fundraiser raising an estimated $275,000. The incredible support from sponsorships, a live auction, a grand raffle and other activities during the night of the event shows how much the community appreciates the Brevard Zoo.
This year the Zoo will be celebrating its 20th birthday at the gala. In honor of this birthday milestone, the Zoo is opening a new major exhibit featuring meerkats. It is the Zoo’s vision to bring back the community-wide excitement and engagement that defined the original creation of Brevard Zoo so it can harness that energy to power the next 20 years of the Zoo’s growth. The official birthday celebration weekend will be held March 15th and 16th.
The not-for-profit Zoo continues to be a vibrant, first-class venue that provides enjoyment, enrichment, education, recreation and economic support for the entire county through the dedicated support of the community. Unlike the vast majority of Zoos, Brevard Zoo does not receive any public funds for operations, so events like Safari Under the Stars are critical to ensuring its future.
