A 30-year IT veteran, Andy Ziegler, has joined the company as Account Manager. “I could not be more pleased,” states company CEO, Travis Proctor, “to have Andy become part of our growing team. I have held him in great regard as a respected competitor for many years, and I am confident that he will bring that same level of commitment and integrity to our clients at Artemis.”
Andy is a long time resident of Brevard since graduating from Florida Institute of Technology in 1983 with a BS in Computer Science. He began his career as a software engineer for Harris, also working for Scientific System Services and Paravant. He specialized in communication software development and enterprise system management until starting his own IT business with his wife Patty. Andy holds a wide range of technology certifications, and his experience includes an in-depth knowledge of IT that spans legacy systems, enterprise architecture, local area networks, wide area communications and a variety of technology platforms.
Andy is very active in the community as a long term member of the Rotary Club of Palm Bay, and was elected to the Brevard County School Board in 2008. Four years into his elected position for the largest employer in Brevard, Andy has become very familiar with the administrative level of managing over 9,000 employees. Andy’s position at Artemis as an account manager includes being a Virtual Chief Information Officer (VCIO) for clients. As a VCIO he will use his experience in technology solutions, process, and procedures to ensure customers invest in the right solutions for their needs. “If I can’t justify return on investment, or the benefits of a solution, I can’t recommend it” says Andy.
Other involvements include serving as a board member for the Melbourne Regional Chamber of Commerce, Space Coast Early Intervention Center, The Children’s Hunger Project, AMIKids, the Central Florida Boy Scouts Executive Advisory Council, and the Florida School Boards Association.
Andy resides in West Melbourne with his wife Patty. Their daughter is attending UCF, where Patty also graduated.
